Youth Development Coordinator

The Youth Development Coordinator plays a vital role in developing, coordinating, and implementing community programs for children and youth at risk. Those programs would include local minority groups and languages, including but not limited too, Aboriginal First Nations, newcomers to Canada, persons with disabilities, and all social-economic demographics. The Youth Development Co-ordinator would train and empower the children and youth by instilling in them the belief that they can excel in any aspect of their lives. They create a safe and inclusive environment where every individual is accepted and encouraged to reach their full potential. They would also train and develop teams of volunteers to serve in the respective programs.

 

The commitment required for this role is substantial, with a duration of 9 weeks, working 30 hours per week at a rate of $19.20 per hour.

Child and Youth Worker

The role of a Child and Youth Worker is crucial in providing support, guidance, and empowerment. Working alongside the Youth Development Co-ordinator and Pastors, this person will play a vital role in co-developing, shared coordination, and implementing community programs for children and youth at risk.Those programs would include local minority groups and languages, including but not limited too, Aboriginal First Nations, newcomers to Canada, persons with disabilities, and all social-economic demographics. The Child and Youth Worker would assist the Youth Development Co-ordinator in teaching the children and youth that they can be good at anything. They will help young individuals discover their strengths, build confidence, and realize their full potential. By collaborating with the Youth Development Co-ordinator, they aim to instill a sense of belonging and acceptance among the young people they serve and inspiration to the volunteers.

Landscape Labourer

At First Baptist Church Fort Erie, we believe in the power of beauty to make a positive impact on our community. Our floral gardens not only provide a stunning first impression to newcomers in Canada but also serve as a source of inspiration and tranquility for everyone who visits our church. As a Landscape Labourer, you will play a crucial role in weeding, watering, and managing these gardens to ensure they continue to flourish and thrive!​

 

As a part of our team, you will also be responsible for maintaining the church lawns that host various community events, such as BBQs and children and youth activities. These spaces are not just grass and flowers; they are where memories are made, friendships are forged, and community bonds are strengthened. Your work will help create a safe and welcoming environment for all who come to our church.​In addition to our own church grounds,

 

First Baptist Church Fort Erie partners with Matthew House Ministries to support newcomers to Canada and community members in need. As a Landscape Labourer, you will have the opportunity to work on the community gardens that serve these individuals.​

Community Service Worker
